「回望二二八:音符中的真相與啟示」是由墨爾本台灣同鄉會,澳亞台灣研究協會與澳台俱樂部於維多利亞州立圖書館首次舉辦228紀念音樂會,這也是澳洲首次舉辦此類活動。
The event Reflection on 228: Truth and Revelation Through Music, organized by the Taiwanese Association of Australia Melbourne Chapter in collaboration with the Australasian Taiwan Studies Association and the Australia-Taiwan Club, was held at the State Library of Victoria on 28 February, marking the first time such an event has taken place in Australia.
本次活動由林僑務委員帶領的樂團演奏了台灣民謠,包括〈四季紅〉、〈雨夜花〉、〈月夜愁〉、〈望你早歸〉。此外,榮獲金曲獎特別貢獻獎的劉清池老師,因不克親自前來,特別錄製影片,以手風琴演奏兩首膾炙人口的台灣名曲——黃昏的故鄉〉及〈媽媽請你也保重〉。
The music performance was led by Dr. William Lin, showcasing classic Taiwanese folk songs, including Four Seasons Red, Flowers in the Rainy Night, Sorrow in the Moonlight, and Hoping You’ll Return Soon. Additionally, Mr. Ching-Chih Liu, winner of the Golden Melody Special Contribution Award, who was unable to attend in person, specially recorded a video performance featuring two beloved Taiwanese classics on the accordion—Hometown at Dusk and Mom, Please Take Care.
澳亞協會會長、墨爾本大學教授 Craig Smith(史峻)從外國學者的角度探討228事件,並客觀地分析了此事件的起因、過程及導致台灣近40年戒嚴的影響。
A/Prof Craig Smith, President of the Australasian Taiwan Studies Association and Professor at the University of Melbourne, examined the 228 Incident from the perspective of a foreign scholar. He provided an objective analysis of its causes, development, and the impact that led to nearly 40 years of martial law in Taiwan
本次活動特別邀請立法委員王定宇委員及林楚茵委員,在百忙之中特別前來墨爾本,分別講述『台灣的國際發展』及『台灣民主路程』, 獲得全體觀眾及鄉親高度的讚賞。
This event featured special guests, Legislators Ting-Yu Wang and Chu-Yin Lin, who took time out of their busy schedules to visit Melbourne and deliver speeches on The Development of Taiwan’s Democracy and Taiwan’s International Relations, respectively. Received high praise from all audience.
台灣同鄉會特別感謝墨爾本台北經濟文化辦事處,在呂處長的帶領下,王組長、楊副組長及多位優秀同事為本次活動提供大力支持與協助,使活動得以順利圓滿完成。

音樂會在樂團演奏及全體鄉親合唱〈望春風〉中結束,象徵台灣人民不會忘記這段歷史傷痛,也將更加團結,不畏懼各項外來挑戰。
The concert concluded with a performance by the ensemble and a sing-along of the song “Longing for the Spring Breeze” with the entire audience, symbolizing that the people of Taiwan will never forget this historical scar and will remain united, facing any challenges with courage and resilience.
我們期待台灣鄉親共同團結支持中華民國台灣,良性監督政府,成為國家的堅實後盾,在國際上不被別人欺負。
We look forward to seeing all Taiwanese unite in support of our country, the ROC (Taiwan), actively monitoring our government, becoming a strong backbone for the nation, and ensuring Taiwan is not bullied on the international stage.
